Tip Roulette respects your privacy. This policy explains how the current launch version of the app handles information and permissions.
Data Collection
Tip Roulette does not require account creation and does not collect personal data from within the app in the current launch version.
On-Device Activity
Bill amounts, tip ranges, recordings, and exported media are handled locally on your device unless you choose to save or share them using your device’s built-in tools.
Camera, Microphone, and Photos
If you allow camera, microphone, or photo library access, Tip Roulette uses those permissions only to capture reactions, create exports, and save or share content you initiate.
Face Data
Tip Roulette does not collect, analyze, store, transmit, or share face data of any kind. The front-facing camera is used solely to record a short selfie-style reaction video at the user's explicit request. No facial recognition, face detection, facial geometry, or any other biometric analysis is performed on the video or any image from the camera. Reaction videos are processed entirely on-device using Apple's AVFoundation framework to merge the clip with the tip-spin animation. Tip Roulette never transmits camera data to any server or third party. Temporary video files are stored only in the device's local cache directory and are deleted when the app's cache is cleared. Users retain full control over whether to save or share the resulting export via their device's standard sharing tools.
